How it works

First cheque in five minutes, promise.

No accounts to create, no subscription portals to log into, no setup wizards to click through. Install, type your bank details once, and print.

Install

Download from the Mac App Store. The app is 1.1 MB and opens in under a second on Apple Silicon.

Add your account

Enter your routing/transit, institution, and account numbers once. Set the country and currency; the right MICR standard is applied automatically.

Pick a layout

3-per-page on blank paper, or top/middle/bottom stub for pre-printed stock. Snap-to-grid alignment is built in.

Print

Type the payee and amount, hit Print. Drop a CSV in the Compose tab if you'd rather batch a hundred at once.

Single cheque

From "I need to pay rent" to "in the mailbox"

Four clicks, sixty seconds

01

Open the app, pick your account

If you have multiple accounts, choose from the sidebar.

02

Type the payee and amount

Tab through the fields. The words-form line auto-generates from the amount.

03

Preview, then print

Real-time WYSIWYG preview shows exactly what will print, including the MICR line.

04

Sign and send

The register logs the cheque automatically. Reprint or export to PDF whenever you need to.

CheckYourself app — composing a single cheque ready to print
Batch workflow

A hundred cheques in two minutes

Drop a CSV, walk away with a stack

Export your CSV

From payroll, QuickBooks, Xero, or anywhere else — columns labeled "payee," "amount," "memo," "date" are auto-detected.

Drag it in

Drop the file on the Compose tab. CheckYourself shows a preview of every row before anything prints.

Edit & approve

Fix typos inline, hold rows for later, or split into smaller print runs. Pause and resume any time.

Hit print

The stack runs in the background. Every cheque is logged with a unique number, ready for the register.

Calibration

Dial in pre-printed stock

Skip the trial-and-error

Load a blank sheet

Use a regular printer sheet for the test — no cheque stock needed yet.

Print the calibration grid

The grid overlay marks every field's position in millimeters.

Stack it under a cheque

Hold both up to a window. Wherever the field misses, note the offset.

Nudge until perfect

Arrow keys move fields a millimeter at a time. Save when it lands.
